In times of uncertainty, and doubt, possibly even in times of celebration, the Imperium of Rain DAO can call on the CrayonDAOO to gather its most talented Creators to produce art to entertain and delight the community.
These are the main things you need to know about this endeavor:
Artists are constantly looking for new ways to monetize their skills beyond initial sales and the occasional royalty.
Earning crypto is great but most crypto needs to be sold to really provide value.
$RAIN on the other hand, might be better spent interacting with Smart Contracts on Raindrop Protocol.
$RAIN can be used to add Trait Swapping utility to your artwork through Boots.
Trait swapping will inevitably lead to the Cosmetic Economy. Let's get ahead of, and innovate in that space as a DAO and a digital asset standard.

This is just a simple Yes or No vote on Realms DAO. I'm submitting two similar but slightly different proposals to get the communities input and approval for an event that will likely introduce a large amount of $RAIN to circulation. It comes with the benefit of exposure and promotion of the DTP Brand and its affiliates.
Goal
The goal is to increase awareness about Raindrop Protocol and Boots, introduce the $RAIN token, and its utility, and drive attention and value back to DTP holders. The goal is to position DTP, $RAIN, and CrayonDAOO as Artisan Ambassadors of the Raindrop Protocol gaming asset standard.

What does the promotion look like:
We're recruiting artists from the DTP community to flex their talent for $RAIN. CrayonDAOO is commissioning 20 artists to produce artwork as either 1/1, editions, or open mint. As part of the promotion the artists agree to mint with $RAIN on Exchange Art.
Why would any artist want $RAIN, an illiquid SPL token?
Using $RAIN, Artists can make once static NFT artwork, dynamic and game-ready using the Only Raindrop Smart Contracts. Not only can you turn your NFTs into Players and your attributes into Items, but Artists could also experiment with trait swapping and Match and Tournament contracts where they make a competition out of promoting their art sales and auctions. This technology can make for some interesting monetization strategies in comparison to the always-under-attack royalty business model. Trait Swapping with Boots is one of the obvious use cases but when Boots V2 drops Artists will be able to create traits and add them to the collection. Since Only Raindrops smart contracts are Open-source, Creators can explore any use case they like. What if the first composable, interoperable, digital collectible fashion shows and cosmetic design agencies start with a few artists getting exposed to our new Game Asset Standard?
We're recruiting artists who would accept $RAIN as payment
Artists can choose whether they want to sell their artwork in an Auction, Raffle, Limited edition, or Open Edition style mint. Everything will be priced in $RAIN making this event very volatile so our volunteers need to understand what they are signing up for and should not expect to be paid in USDC or SOL.
All $RAIN goes directly to the artists. All royalties are paid to the artist. Collaborators would be expected to split on their own terms. We purely want the artwork and to put on a show!
This document is a work in progress! This list is bound to change as artists come and go. So far we're looking for 20 artists. If demand increases from the artists that number could go as high as 50.
Collection, Credit, and Ownership
All of this work will be submitted and minted to the Degen Trash Lore collection on Exchange.Art. This is the Official Collab IP for the CrayonDAOO.
Artists' names will be minted in the Metadata and Attributes of each piece. In addition to specifying whether their piece is Mutable or Immutable Artists will be expected to submit a Title and Description of the work.
CrayonDAOO will hold the mint authority of the Degen Trash Lore collection but is seeking 0% of the 8% Royalties that will be enforced on all of these pieces. Ownership of the assets will be relinquished to CrayonDAOO until later distributed through public mints and auctions during the event.
What will the artwork be used for?
Marketing and promoting Degenerate Trash Panda, Degenerate Ape Academy, Degenerate Drop Bears, the CrayonDAOO, the XaltDAO, Raindrop Protocol, Cupcake Protocol, and more. Artist Credit with a link to their Twitter accounts will be posted in the ALT text of our posts and direct shoutouts will be used in Tweets. We want to brag about your work for engagement!

Raffles and Giveaways!
During the event and in the marketing leading up to the event, CrayonDAOO will be giving out $RAIN through Raffles and Giveaways.
To win these giveaways, contestants must engage with and interact with these artists through Quests on Elixir.Quest. By Liking, Retweeting, and Commenting on the Artists' posts, contestants can earn CRAYONS (CrayonDAOO Exp) that they can spend to witness Kanook perform the $RAIN Dance.

Boots Cosmetic Design Competition
New rule: Artwork has to be a DTP trait that fits naturally into the collection
With Fashion Shows, we can host competitions and flex both Boots and the Tournament Contract on Raindrop Protocol. Fashion Shows provide a great opportunity to activate the DAO and make DTP governance fun. With Boots V2 as a catlyst, NFT art and fashion can finally collide even within the smallest of 1/1 art communities. Fashion Shows create a form of friendly competition which strengthens bonds within the community and makes for quality artwork.
In the near future, artists will be able to submit traits to one day be added to the OG collections of any participating Boots-compatible NFT community.
Qualifiers for an Official SFT trait to be added to the collection:
Open call to all artists, submit 1-3 rarities of a single trait that fits naturally into the Degen Trash Panda PFP collection to be auctioned or minted as Open Editions.
Double Elimination Tournament (Using Raindrop Protocol)
Based on their sales, artists and their submissions would be paired in brackets to form a double elimination bracket using the Tournament Contract (somehow). During the Month of Marketing we'll be encouraging the community to vote for our brave competitors eliminating them as we go to until two Artist from Winners and Losers side of the bracket battle it out on the final day. The outcome of this tournament will decide the order in which artists mint during the event. Still working through these ideas! As always hit me on Twitter or Discord.
Thoughts on Mint Order
It would be interesting to hear peoples opinions on how to make mint order fair amongst 20-50 artists I think for the most part we're going to be scrambling around like chickens without heads so assuming nothing goes right I think it makes sense to open the event with the lesser known or lower rated traits and close the event with the most anicipated artists and most sought after traits. If there's any argument to that logic I'd love to hear it. Seems like how performers do it should work here.
